I decided to make this smoothie… No, not for breakfast, but for my after-dinner snack! I had frozen blueberries on hand as well as fresh pineapple. I opted to use milk, Greek yogurt, and brown sugar and cinnamon to add sweetness and flavor. Greek yogurt is much thicker than regular yogurt because it has had the watery whey strained from it and thus, would make my smoothie thicker. You could opt to use regular yogurt or even vanilla yogurt if you wanted to add more depth to the flavor. If you use regular yogurt, add less milk since it’s already more runny than Greek yogurt.
- 1/2 c milk
- 1/2 c regular or Greek yogurt
- 1/2 c fresh or canned pineapple
- 1/2 c frozen or fresh blueberries
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Makes about 1 serving
